ALIS CALA Deal of the Year Award Finalists Announced
Miami, Florida, USA – – ALIS CALA announced its finalists for the prestigious ALIS CALA Deal of the Year Awards. Among these finalists are hotels and companies who are responsible for the most influential hotel industry deals. Nominees for the awards are evaluated based on outstanding business performance in various industry sectors. Nominations are reviewed according to specific ranking criteria by the ALIS CALA Award Committees to determine the three finalists. Subsequently, information is then reviewed and voted on by delegates of ALIS CALA to determine the winners. The winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, during the morning plenary session at the Loews Coral Gables Hotel in Florida.
The Development of the Year Award recognizes a newly built, redeveloped, or repositioned (after significant product renovations and/or enhancements) hotel that opened, reopened, or completed their repositioning in the Caribbean or Latin American regions between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025. Finalists in the category include:
Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve – Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica
Rosewood Mandarina – Riviera Nayarit, Mexico
Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection – Miches, Dominican Republic
The Transaction of the Year Award recognizes hotel(s) and/or resort(s) in which more than a 50 percent ownership stake has been acquired (transaction closed) in the Caribbean or Latin American regions between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025. Finalists in the category include:
Devossion by Live Aqua, Playa del Carmen – Riviera Maya, Mexico
Playa All-Inclusive Resort Real Estate Portfolio – Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic
Tabacon Thermal Resort & Spa – La Fortuna de San Carlos, Costa Rica
